Direct Patient Care Service

Are you in need of a primary care provider? Do you need medical management for your chronic health conditions? Are you lacking health insurance? You’re in luck! We offer routine primary care services for a flat rate fee under our Direct Primary Care subscription program. What is Direct Primary Care? We’re glad you asked!

What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care, is a newer health care approach where patients pay a flat, recurring fee directly to their healthcare provider for their primary care needs. This medical subscription fee typically covers a range of basic primary care services, to include consultations, exams, some labs and procedures, as well as specialty referrals. No insurance is necessary for this care model, because insurance is not accepted or ever billed for Direct Primary Care patients.
This model allows ease of access for patients and providers by eliminating office visit co-pays, co-insurance, surprise billing, extensive paperwork for insurance claims and denials, and long waits for appointment scheduling. These primary care services are generally focused on preventative care, thereby helping patients to remain healthier from the start. However, sick visits are always included as part of the care package.

Patient Quote:

Healthcare should be easy for people, and it shouldn’t be stressful. People can’t get well when they are worried about not being able to afford care. Direct Primary Care makes healthcare services affordable for the masses and I think it is a wonderful concept.

What are the benefits of Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care models carry benefits for both patients and practitioners:

Patients receive more personalized care with faster access and extended visit times due to a lower provider-patient care load, and cost transparency is a plus with no surprise billing for services. Medical providers are able to afford extended care visits without having the concerns of time-cost value, while decreased paperwork burdens allow a greater focus on preventative care, which promotes better health outcomes.

What are some potential drawbacks of Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care is an ideal care model for some patients but might not be for everyone. If you’re considering using a subscription medical service like Direct Primary Care, remember that only primary care services are included. If you need specialty referrals, certain labs, imaging, tests or other procedures you will likely end up paying out of pocket. If you have a complicated health history that requires many specialists, Direct Primary Care might not be for you. However, at Benevolent Healthcare Services patient care is our priority. If you have questions or would like to know how our Direct Primary Care model could fit your needs, complete our Free Health Status Check and follow-up visit to discuss your options. We can help you make an informed choice.
